Jeffreys participated in the New Jersey State High School Swimming Championships in March. She will graduate Freehold Township High School in New Jersey where she was instrumental in creating the team. Jennifer Jeffreys (Freehold, NJ) committed to the Red Flash last fall and will make an immediate impact on next year's team. Hozempa will major in elementary and special education at Saint Francis. A team captain, she represented the school at the New York State High School Championships, won the outstanding effort award for her team and was awarded the New York State Sportsmanship award her senior year. Hozempa competes in a wide range of events and will contribute immediately in all freestyle distances while also seeing action in the individual medley. Stefanie Hozempa (Horseheads, NY) arrives at SFU from Horeseheads High School in New York and was a teammate of Abbott's with the Corning YMCA River Rats. Sarah was a member of the National Honor Society during her junior and senior years and will study physical therapy at Saint Francis. She also competed for the Corning YMCA River Rats and was a Y State finalist this past season. A two-time state qualifier in high school, Abbott is the school record-holder in the 50, 100, 200 and 500-yard freestyle events. Sarah Abbott (Corning, NY) is a freestyle specialist from Corning East High School in New York. Joining the Red Flash for the 2004-05 season will be Sarah Abbott, Stefanie Hozempa, Jennifer Jeffreys, Sirae Riley and Alicia Vasiladis. SAINT Francis University women's swimming coach Pat Gallagher has announced the signing of five student-athletes to National Letters of Intent.
